In trying to settle Alan Thicke's estate one side says there is a conflict and the other side wants the judge to declare that there is not one.
At first glance, when Alan Thicke passed away it appeared that his estate administration should go relatively easy. He had a prenuptial agreement with his widow giving her rights to certain estate property and his sons would get the rest.
However, things got strange when the sons filed a motion with the court that suggested their stepmother had threatened them.
They claimed she said she wanted to challenge the prenuptial agreement and that if they fought her, then she would go to the media with some undisclosed gossip.
She has recently responded in court to that claim as reported by TMZ in "Alan Thicke's Widow Please Judge, Throw Robin and His Bro Out of Court!!!"
The widow claims the sons are lying and she has no interest at all in challenging the prenuptial agreement. She says the sons filed their motion merely to embarrass her in the media, and she is asking the judge to dismiss the motion and chastise the sons.
It is difficult to determine who is telling the truth here.
This appears to be yet another example of adult children not getting along with a stepparent.
The strange thing in this case is that it is not clear what either side wants to get out of the dispute. They appear to just want to fight over nothing.
